ABOUT

The spanish-french bass-baritone, conductor & music composer Albert Alcaraz studied Piano, Violin, Singing and Conducting at the Conservatories of Alicante, Murcia, Valencia, and Music Education and History. Later he studied singing at Madrid with the baritone Tom Krause. He obtained the ‘Master of Arts in Conducting’ at the University of Geneva where he studied with Laurent Gay and Celso Antunes and later his PhD in Music. He expands his training in various international courses with teachers as Tom Krause, Elena Obratszova, Marimí del Pozo, Isabel Penagos, Teresa Berganza, Montserrat Caballé, José Peris, Andrew Parrot, John Duxbury, Ton Koopman, Emmanuel Krivine, Marcus Creed, Michel Corboz… and he works frequently with Nir Kabaretti, Ottavio Dantone,  Yves Abel, Stefano Ranzani, Michail Jurowski, Jesús López-Cobos, Miquel Ortega, Riccardo Chailly, Michael Schonwandt, Zubin Mehta…

He acts frequently as a judge in various contests and competitions, and as guest conductor of orchestras and choirs. Artistic director of the OBM (Murcia Baroque Orchestra), Albert is author of several books and publications and he has recording several Cd’s.
